Thats pretty nifty but ouch on the price!

I just ditched my ancient antec tower and I know what you mean, those 80mm fans are loud and ineffective, this antec 300 is half as loud and twice as cool.

It is a bit of a beast, I thought I was downsizing from a Stacker but this case is almost the same hight and a bit wider, I like the fact that they've widend the side panels so there's plenty of space to tuck cables behind the mobo tray

So after a little bit of testing it's made a massive difference on temps, before and after temps below, loded for 20 minutes with RTHDRIBL maxed and Superpi, these are the max temps I recorded but mostly were a couple c lower

System 44c Now 40c
CPU 38c Now 30c
Core 0 54c Now 39c
Core 1 46c Now 38c
Core 2 46 Now 42c
Core 3 52 Now 42c
Core 64c Now 52c
VGA 58c now 56c
Ambient 45c Now 40c

So big difference in temps, this is all on silent, the only fan I can hear is the 40mm on the RhinoJR 400 HDD bay, strange thing is If I turn the fans up to max it makes virtually no difference to the temps, System and VGA drop by 1c but thats it.

So, all in all a very good choice, much tidier looking than the CM Stacker even though it's about the same size in hight but a bit wider, far, far quieter, very easy build, plenty of space for cable routing, the sides are slightly widened so cables slot behind easily.

Only gripes is it's a big bugger, final build weight of just over 24KG and, like the Stacker, could have done with casters, also the HDD and Power LED's are on top and are the blindingly bright blue ones so when the HDD light is flashing it does get a little annoying seeing it out of the corner of your eye but nothing major, very pleased with it. Seems to be a keeper. Added bonus is that you can turn the fan lights on and off just by pressing down on the fan control button. Just that alone would have recommended the case. Oh, and yes temps are lower. [yes]

Default Justr ordered my new case
as the title, don't know what I like about it but it just kept calling my name. Any opinions, anyone got one, think I like the 3 x 200mm fans, my old Stacker has 3 x 80, 3 x 120 and is a bit noisy so hopefully this'll be a little quieter with better airflow.

I would have just ripped out the 80mm fans and stomped on them.

Noise problem solved!

Temp problem unsolved, I tried without the 80's and temps went up quite a bit, wasn't to bothered until I got a Q9550 which seems to hit 65c quite easily for some reason, I'm using a Zalman CNPS9700NT to cool it but I been itching to get a new case for a while anyway as I've had the Stacker for a long time.

Looked like an interesting case so I brought one too. Should be arriving today from Newegg. If its as good as it looks, then its my new case. If not, it will sit in the basement for a week or so until I build somebody a new machine.

Just going to collect mine now, checking temps using speedfan while just typing this I have.

System 40c
Q9550 CPU 23c, Core 0 35c, Core 1 32c, Core 2 41c, Core 3 39c, Core 45c
VGA 45c (8800GT 1GB Alpha Dog with Accelero Twin Turbo Cooler)
Ambient 35c

So, in a couple of hours I'll se if the temps have changed at all, if not, I have a nice case that I've been itching to buy, if they increase it'll be on ebay tomorrow [yes]

Very nice! I looked at that one but it was a little more then I wanted to spend so I opted for the Storm Scout instead. It just came yesterday and the case is awesome. Keeps everything real cool as well.

You should note down load temps aswell really, idle on its own doesn't mean much.

I'd be highly surprised if you don't see a good temp drop from loaded.

Good point, been running Superpi and RTHDRIBL all maxed to get a bit of a load, temps seem to have peaked, been pretty much stable for 10 minutes now so we have

System 44c
CPU 38c
Core 0 54c
Core 1 46c
Core 2 46
Core 3 52
Core 64c
VGA 58c
Ambient 45c

See what happens, gonna set it up now.
