Man United accept Ģ80 Million bid for Ronaldo
Looks like the inevitable has happened. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ies/laugh1.gif
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/foot...td/8094720.stm Manchester United have accepted a world record offer of Ģ80m from Real Madrid for Cristiano Ronaldo. "United have agreed to give Real Madrid permission to talk to the player," said a statement from the English club. It added that the decision came at Ronaldo's request after he "again expressed his desire to leave". United described the offer for the 24-year-old forward as unconditional and added that they expected the matter to be concluded by 30 June. It is understood that the transfer fee would be made available for manager Sir Alex Ferguson to invest in the transfer market. Madrid signed Brazilian Kaka for a reported Ģ56m earlier in the week, surpassing the previous world record fee of Ģ45.6m Real paid for Zinedine Zidane in 2001. |
I think itīs ridiculous that around the world thereīs a financial crisis going on, left and right people are loosing their jobs, but still people accept the fact that millions and millions of dollars are being thrown out of the window to get someone chase a stupid ball.

Nice, I'm the 4th person to point out the simplicity of this post. |
I think what iīm trying to point out here is the acceptance and priority of some things going on in the world today.
And of course only football/soccer fans will understand/defend such ridiculous amounts of money being spent for something as trivial. |

You think the money just vanishes in thin air after it's been spent? This is capitalism baby. Supply and demand.

he'll probably win nothing at Real anyway. plenty of players go their and flop. he's one who should stay good though. man utd need an attacking winger then... ribery?
|
How do football transactions work? Real Madrid is paying 80 million to Man Utd to have the rights to Ronaldo, but how does Ronaldo get paid/how is his salary determined?
