The costumes are very well designed, especially the orcs. They appear almost identical to Peter Jackson's LOTR orcs. Pretty good for a non-profit online film.

I'm impressed with the quality especially for less than $5000, although it seemed inconsistent at times (sword sounds, music switching without a good transition, dialogue seemed forced). Not saying I could do a better job though

The film is set between the events of The Hobbit and during the early parts of the Fellowship of the Ring. The wizard Gandalf fears that Gollum may reveal information about the One Ring to the Dark Lord Sauron, and sends the Ranger Aragorn on a quest to find him first.
