I mean there's no excuse, we've got two automatic image resizers: the Mnet_Gaming one and now the official FM one. And I notice a lot of the time it's people who've been here a long time and should, therefore, know the image size limits.

If you come across a post with oversized pictures, please don't forget to notify the moderating staff. We will come and correct the problem.

To those who post oversized pictures, please also keep in mind that doing so will land you an infraction.

It's not technically because of 56k users - yes lots of images slow the connection down, but the rule is there to keep the forum structure look neat and tidy. There is nothing worse than a forum where you have to constantly side scroll to read someones post because the text gets stretched out due to the forum width being messed up by a large picture.

Plus there is no point to have a really large picture if someone has a smaller resolution than the image posted, which is actually really easy these days if someone posts a widescreen resolution and you've only got a 4:3 / 5:4 monitor to view it on
