Nahh, there are more departure points than that... I have a friend who is leaving on a carribean cruise from galveston, tx next week. Seems any state with a deep water port should have some departures, fewer for sure than from florida, but some.
Afaik, there will be a parking lot similar to long stay parkinglots at an airport.
Oh, and as long as you choose a major line, the food will not only be good, but exceptionally good... And all u can eat of whatever, steak, lobster, crab et.al.

I looked into the parking thing, and drive time. Driving from Ohio to anywhere they make port is going to be expensive in gas, and consume large amounts of time. It would be cheaper to buy round trip tickets to Florida. I've got family in Indianapolis, and tickets are like $192 after taxes/fees per person round trip from there to Florida for a non-stop flight.
Estimated Time: 20 hours 1 minute Estimated Distance: 1284.75 miles
Yeah.. I don't think I want to drive. The fuel cost for that is $275 in my car round trip.
I'm thinking Royal Caribbean or Princess. They seem to be the best for 7 night cruises. Carnival seems to do more of the 3-4 night cruises.
You only live once.. so I might as well see the ocean before I die. And die, in a fiery plane crash, because I'm afraid of flying. I think I'd rather take that risk than ride Amtrak again. That sucked. My friend rode Amtrak recently, and on his way to NY he texted me saying "Now I know why you hate Amtrak. We've been broken down for 6 hours."
