Contact your bank/cc and file a complaint. Chargeback FTW. If they're refusing to give you the details on the ban then I wouldn't hesitate to go directly to your financial institution.

Hey guys, a friend pointed something out to me.

My account has been hacked. It seems the email i was sent wasn't actually from rapidshare, it seemed slightly suspicious as it says not to contact them about it.

It's obvious that its been banned becuase when i try to log in, I had my username set to "drm111" but when i try to log in with that username, it says the account doesn't exist.

Now when i try to log in with my user code that you cant change, it says my password is incorrect. NOT THAT MY ACCOUNT HAS BEEN SUSPENDED.

So whats happened is, the guy who got my account, sent a phoney email to the email adress associated to my account, changed the adress to his adress becuase apparently there isnt an account associated with my email anymore, and then he changed the username and password.

Can anyone help me as to what to do?

yep, you were phished.

On a side note, you should be wary and always check the links you click, as there is a scourge of links that look like rapidshare but are not, and once u put your login/password in, the account is as good as gone.

OH, for the most part they call them rapidshit because here recently they completely nerfed the download quotas.
