Default Stuck on tires...
I have an interesting tire dilemma that I have never encountered before, I can get my RE-01Rs in stock 245wide size, or I can go for some Hankook RS2's which are 265wide. While they aren't as sticky as the bridgestones I am trying to decided if the added width and cheaper cost make it worth going for a brand that I have never used...On tirerack the bridgestones are the number 1 extreme summer tire, while the hankooks are number 4.

So ya what would you car guys do; Softer/stickier compound and narrower, or the harder/less sticky and wider?

As a side note my old Kumhos would just spin first and second at the stock tire width, the RE-01Rs were able to wrangle in second in the dry, which is a nice thing to have.

It's going to depend a lot on what sort of driving you do, the 'usual' road conditions, the rim size and possible interference problems with bodywork and/or suspension components - I'd suggest having a look for on-line reviews and comments and going from there.
