I've just taken delivery of a new BD player and somewhere (I can't find it now) in the manual it mentions something about a "high speed" HDMI cable. What exactly is the difference between this and any old HDMI cable? I'm just using one I got from a seller on Amazon Marketplace.

They did a test (admittedly not very scientific) the other week on The Gadget Show where they had two TVs side by side, one hooked up with a cheap HDMI cable and the other with an expensive one to see if they could see a difference - they couldn't, at least that's what they said. |
