Default Movies that need to come out on Blu-Ray
Whats on the wish list?

For me, Lord of the Rings Trilogy (Why is this not out yet?), In Bruges (Great movie!), Hot Fuzz.

The Abyss, Se7en, Dollar Trilogy, Beauty and the Beast, Pat Garrett & Billy the Kid, Jaws and ET (not the special edition) would be nice.

I'll have my wish soon as it's on it's way [thumbup]

LOTR Trilogy is definitely coming, next year now but at least it will get here in the end.

I'd love to see Braveheart. I love the movie and although not factual in any way it's great. My dvd is shiat on my PJ.

Titanic, simply because the Mrs likes it and not because Kate gets her baps out[rofl]

Porky's Trilogy

And I'd have to agree about LotR trilogy. I would buy it in a heartbeat.

I thought the "point" of some of these most recent re-releases on BR was to capitalize on the improved image and sound quality? This looks like a list that's pretty much right on the mark, IMO.

If a movie is mastered properly and it is a decent source, BD can breathe new life into any film. I was watching a movie made in 1971 that looked absolutely brilliant.

Jurassic Park and LotR for sure. Are any of the Harry Potter movies out on BR yet? If not, then those too. [thumbup]

I am surprised that so many of these movies have not been released on BR. Does anyone know what kind of work is entailed in releasing a movie on BR? Is it a lot more work to put one on BR than on DVD?

All I know is that studios deliberately delay time in between releases in order to increase revenue for each release. And of course, they're saving some of the biggest franchises for once Blu-ray has a much higher install base. More Blu-ray owners = more profits. Obviously they don't want to release ALL of their big titles while Blu-ray is still in its' infancy.

Cleeve do you know what has happened to the disney classics? You can't even seem to get them on dvd anymore.... talking specifically about Lion King really.

And in keeping with the thread i'm waiting for:

Fifth Element
Green Wing (complete)
Dark Knight
How Not To Live Your Life (series 1)
Fight Club
Jurassic Park Trilogy
Austin Powers Trilogy
Transporter 1&2 (maybe 3 if it's good ) (just checked and 1 is out already [thumbup])

I think some of these are out in the US but not UK yet.
