idk... i like a good vampire book as much as the next guy... but these did not impress me near as much as the 4 Lestat books or Salems Lot. I guess it has more to do with the age of the characters in her books, and the serious break with vampire lore she creates her world with. Almost as if those who wrote True Blood (hbo) refrenced her books.

Girl i know mentioned this series to me, saying that she's finally on the last one in the series. So i figured i'd check it out. Well hell, 7 days and 4 books later i finished the series and loved it. The way she writes just seems to draw you into the whole story. It's a different take on vampires it's actually fairly interesting. To bad that there won't really be a continuation of the story. Although there is a companion book to twilight coming out soon, and she said she was going to write a few more in that "universe". The companion book is pretty much twilight, but from edwards point of view and it will be a longer book.

I had never heard of her before, but since somebody (you) was enthusiastic enough to post about her, I took a look.
![]() That type of book is not normally my cup of tea, but I am glad to be made aware of the series. It's always interesting to be introduced to new things, and maybe if I am in the right mood one day I might actualy buy one of these books. Thanks for the heads up! |
