Most delicious burger of all time.[thumbup]
I think I was more than happy with the 1/4 pound from Fuds. http://discussworldissues.com/forums...ies/wacko1.gif

Once in a while I like myself a hamburger from a local snackbar called FEBO or from Mac Donalds here in the Netherlands. But those things that they make there, look like a heap of stuff slammed together with some sauce and molten cheese in between, keeping it from falling apart...

If you're talking about McDonald's burgers, I think they look the same no matter where you go. Kinda the same thing at any fast food burger joint though nowadays, they just never look the same as they do on the commercials or their own menu.

Me, I prefer a good Spicy or Buffalo Chicken sandwich from a few places around here. Yeah I got a thing for spicy food.

ttoothh 02-10-2008 07:24 AM

I hope the rest of their menu looks a bit more appetising than that picture red_dog posted.

Something doesn't have to look good to be appetizing or tasty.

Besides, a little common sense would tell you that a 20-patty hamburger that's two feet tall is NOT a regular menu item. http://discussworldissues.com/forums...es/tongue1.gif

However, it's not like the regular double burgers look that much different, they're just a lot smaller. It's still a bit of a cheese mess at times.

agreed. besides, their entire, non-secret menu is as follows. hamburger, cheeseburger, double double, fries, vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry shake, and soft drinks....there you have it. probably the best burger place ever.

In N' Out Burger is fantastic, HOWEVER, their burgers still taste like a fast food burger. I prefer quality restaurant-style behemoths whenever possible. Fuddruckers is amazing. And I also love the Chipotle Blu Cheese Bacon Burger from Chilis (although it's not very large). http://discussworldissues.com/forums...ies/smile1.gif

What do you think of Carl's Jr?

I prefer their burgers over In 'n Outs (though you can't beat their fries). Love the guacamole bacon six dollar burger without the disgusting bacon. [thumbup]

I can't really make any fair judgements of Carl's Jr. without going back a few more times. I got the guacamole bacon burger at a Carl's Jr. in Hawaii, and I thought it was pretty mediocre--so I haven't gone back. Still, it may have just been that particular restaurant, so I won't jump out on a limb and say they're ALL crap.http://discussworldissues.com/forums...ies/laugh1.gif

UK peeps, switch over to 'More 4' to see what these burgers will do to ya! [surrender]

The best burger joints in America are here in Atlanta, according to an article in the Wall Street Journal.
http://online.wsj.com/public/article...f_main_tff_top
But wait. I can hear a million Angelenos wondering, "When will he get to L.A.?" Yes, there are great burgers in Los Angeles. I love the Apple Pan. The burgers are cooked to order, flavorful, just big enough for lunch. Nevertheless I think the best burgers in America are three time zones away...in Atlanta.
The Vortex, a pseudo-biker joint that you enter through a human mouth, serves an estimable burger, as good as any in Tinseltown. Even better is the well-charred number with beautifully crisped thick-cut bacon at the Earl, in East Atlanta.
But the outstanding hamburger experience I found in an odyssey of several months and thousands of miles was at Ann's Snack Bar, a justifiably renowned little diner on a broken-down industrial stretch of highway.
Miss Ann, as habitués call her, is a woman of commanding style and ready banter. She works alone at her grill, patting each ample patty lightly as she sets it down. Her masterpiece, the "ghetto burger," is a two-patty cheeseburger tricked out with bacon that she tends closely in a fryolator.
Observing Miss Ann in action would be enough of a show, one perfected over many decades. But while she demonstrates the extreme economy of motion of a superb short-order cook, she simultaneously carries on a running dialogue of lightly sassy repartee with customers she knows.
Then Miss Ann dusts your almost-ready patties with "seasoned salt" tinged red from cayenne pepper. It looks like a mistake, too much, over the top. But when you get your ghetto burger in its handsomely toasted bun envelope, you regret doubting the lady for one second. The big burgers stand up fine to the spice. This is the next level in burgerhood. And it just barely fits in your mouth. http://www.thevortexbarandgrill.com/

This is a ghetto burger from Ann's. It is fantastically delicious.

If you are ever in Atlanta, it is your civic duty to stop at both these places.

Agreed. In and out is a good fast food style burger. [thumbup]

Fuds still beats in and out.

Lately city of Melbourne (Aus) has sprung up with some pretty good gourmet burger chains. I must say they are pretty amazing and could possibly knock Fuds off the top. http://discussworldissues.com/forums...s/excited1.gif

My fave store is called Grilled. http://www.grilld.com.au/flickr/burgers.html

Overnight me one of those burgers in an insulated box, and I'll give it a review.[thumbup]

Oh mate they are not cheap. It's all high quality meat, and fillings. No expense spared. So that's why most of the burgers are over $10 up to $12 AU. So if you want fries and a drink you're typically looking at $15 or more.

They claim they are healthy burgers. Considering how good the ingredients are, you do not feel like it's some greasy fatty burger meal. And don't feel that "healthy non greasy" means it tastes like cardboard. These burgers are packed with punching flavor!
