You know... if they made a game show called: "Who wants to be Vice President?" or some sort of reality show, I'm sure at least one of the contestants chosen would be better than Palin .

Sloww, you just can not be serious about that. You may think that McCain would be better than Obama, that's a reasonable position. But after listening to this woman flounder and babble and spout inanity after inanity, you can not honestly think she'd be a better President than Obama.

Obama would be a terrible VP. He'd talk way too much and get his President into trouble.

Watch it, Sloww. If she hears you, she'll terrorist fist-bump you all the way to Oklahoma.

Fact is, if any Democrat ran for either POTUS or VP with Palin's lack of credentials, the GOP would mock and attack that person incessantly. Which is exactly why Obama gets mocked incessantly.

And exactly why Palin deserves the same. Not quite. If they were both running for VP they would deserve the same, but they are not.

All politicians should be and ARE mocked.

But come on, repubs, Palin is setting a new record in terms of mockability.

Dukkakis looks positively presidential by comparison.

And whenever Palin is discussed ,the republicans want to compare her to Biden like it makes it better or Biden is almost as bad as she is...he's not.

The only difference between them is McCain has managed to convince republicans he's a maverick and immune to the corruption he has enjoyed for decades.

I'm gonna have to agree (edit: with rah about Biden)-- I liked Biden a lot during the primaries (didn't really know much about him before that), but the more I learn, the less I like it.

His saving grace is that his weaknesses are typical policitican weaknesses -- pandering for votes, stealing ideas, being in the pocket of business, blah, blah, blah.

Palin's weakness is that she looks and sounds completely out of her league. She can't spout the talking points in a softball interview with Katie Couric -- she can't "say nothing" eloquently and she sounded totally frazzled and out of her depth. Her form of floundering is pretty unique in the realm of presidential elections -- most politicians lie and pander, but they can form logical sentences while they do it.

I think McCain comes out looking like the bigger weasel if only because he gets more exposure and he's held to the "maverick" reformer standard. I don't think many people know or even really care who Biden is.

The only reason he's getting a pass from dems is because Palin is so much worse. I love this. When it's a democrat, experience=corruption. When it's a republican, experience=presidential material.

Anyway, I think Biden is a liability as well, but Palin pretty much overshadows it. Sometimes I wonder if the PTB who chose Palin for McCain were secretly in the Obama camp.

Yes, he suffered horribly in Vietnam, and for that he is to be admired and should have the thanks of a grateful nation. But let's remember what made him a hero: he got shot down and captured. Would you mind explaining to me what part of being bested by, and then held hostage by, the enemy actually prepares you for being president? (Unless you're postulating that a McCain administration would be held hostage by huge Democratic majorities in Congress, which is plausible.) All McCain's heroism shows is that once upon a time his luck ran out, and he lived to tell the tale, albeit while probably developing seriously psychologically scars in the process. Yeah, it's a hell of a qualification.
