Bond started from Ian Flemming's books, so essentially THAT is the primary source material, not the previous bond films. In the books, Bond was an assassin, not a stunt riddled playboy with a magic wang impervious to STD's.
I like the assassin Bond better than the other Bond. Its been ages since I read a Bond book, but I always liked the books better than the movies. I think the last one I read was Goldfinger.

Default New 007- Quantum Of Solace-Trailer Out!
Hi,Just informing anyone that a New 007 trailer of Quantum of Solace is now out, check it out on the main 007.com site -

Link -
http://www.007.com/#/video

First impressions of this trailer, like another sure-fire hit like previous Casino Royale,if not even better.Look's too have some innovative action and fight scene's,IMHO,would be cool if JB this time was trained in High kicking Martial Art's for a change in the fights scenes,JB roundhouse kicking the Bad guys faces off and so on,.

Cheer's.

Awesome... can't wait for this film.

I'm glad that this time they actually have an attractive bond girl... didn't think much of Eva Green (??).

The villain looks good and menacing.

I really like this darker side of bond... seems much more realistic than the older films & I'm starting to consider Daniel Craig as a better bond than even the legend that is Sean Connery.

Just came home and found a new trailer, great! It was great and I think it will turn out better than Casino Royale altough it lacks (as it the previous) any Bond feeling, it's just an action movie but well, a good one at least it seems.

That "Bond feeling" is what made all of Brosnan's movies besides Goldeneye unwatchable. Too many stupid puns, too many stupid gizmos, and a bunch of crap storyline all in between.

But it's also why the Bond role was such a coveted role and why it remains one of the most popular franchises in history.

Yes I prefer the more recent and serious update but it takes nothing away from the countless other Bond films.

Loved the trailer, not entirely sure I like the music but I just pray its as good as Casino Royal because I was pleasantly surprised by how good that film was with the new darker theme!

It's what you feel and apparently more than I thought but for those that are Bond fans (altough Im not but I like the old with Sean and a little newer with Brosnan).

Is there somewhere else I can download this trailer, the one on that site runs incredably jerkily for me.

I'm not taking any of it away from Connery, Dalton, Lazenby, or Moore... just from the crap in Tomorrow Never Dies, The World is not Enough, and Die Another Day.

Well Die Another Day was cool with John Cleese as Q which is the best, he's so great then and his gadgets is one of the things that makes Bond so great, at least what I think.

I didn't mind Die Another Day, except for the invisible car. I thought that was stupid. If I want science fiction I'll watch a sci-fi film.

I wouldn't call it sci-fi, it's a very real technology.

As far as the video, I think it's time for a new computer. My G4 can't handle the website.

TBH I don't remember how it worked in the film. All I know right now with the technology is that they are having problems trying to get rid of the shadows cast by whatever is being "cloaked"

Looks excellent. The new re-inventing of Bond makes the previous Brosnan versions look like Schumaker's rendition of batman.

Should be great, the villain looks a little like Jools Holland, then again Le Chiffre did also.

Lol? It wasn't invisible, it used reflection so the human couldnt see it but only what was behind. A real invisible car would sound more like fantasy when they use magic.

Anyway, it was so great when Bond said "Is this is a joke?" and Q goes "I never joke in my job" or something.. [thumbup]
