Scientific Calculators
Does anybody make one any more that does base number conversions? I'm looking at ones online with several hundred functions, but none do base number conversions (HEX, DEC, BIN, OCT), which is what I primarily need a calculator for. I'm getting sick of fixing my circa 1994 TI-60X whose LCD fails every time it gets humid or damp, which happens a lot here.

I'm not sure, but surely it wouldn't be to hard to write a little TI-BASIC program to convert for you. I bet there are some apps/code examples out there that you can just install/copy. http://discussworldissues.com/forums...lies/cool1.gif I have a TI-89 Titanium and there are tonnes of apps for it, so I don't doubt that one exists. It's a great calculator, check one out. [thumbup]

I've got a Casio FX-115MS which can do dec/hex/bin/oct conversions. I've had it for years now but its still listed on the Casio website (http://www.casio.co.uk/Products/Calc...pecifications/).
I don't know any Canadian online shops but Amazon have them for $18.85 (http://www.amazon.com/Casio-FX-115MS.../dp/B00004TVDO). (All you have to do is go in to base mode and then the keys to change base are above the squared, power, log and ln buttons) Hope this helps. |
TI 89ti can do that
