Out of those 4....the Seat Leon Cupra by a country mile!

I'd say the same out of that lot, although that Dodge looks mental, however, I have no experience of them, but on looks alone I reckon it's a punt... I wouldnt' own a Vectra if they were gonna cut my love spuds off... they're one fo the worst cars ever made.

Actually Vectras are one of the best cars currently, judged by the build quality [rofl]

Anyway I guess you didn't read my last posts

For those prices i'd go for an audi. The new A4 or A5 i myself will get a A5 when the 2.0 TFSI engine is available.

Actually quite a few people buy their BMWs and Audis from the US these days since the Dollar is so weak, as even with shipping and duty its less than buying it here. You can compare cars with the car configurator on the homepages, for a BMW 325xi you pay about 46.000€ and for the same car, 328xi with about the same accessories you pay $45.000 in the US. Plus you usually get the better deals (interest rates etc) in the US too.

Buying a car in Europe is a f***in ripp off, just like anything else here! I dont know how its possible for all those companies to have such good deals in the US! My current car costs about 34.000€. In the US you can get it (not a Diesel though) for about $35.000. God damnit, must... not... think... about that! [cursing][cursing][cursing]

Edit: The only good thing is, we get all those great Diesel engines.
I feel you man, cars are even more expensive in Holland e.g. the Audi S5 costs 24.000 euro's more then in Gemany, 24,000 more! not to mention we are the most expensive country with gas.
Thats why im getting the A5 2.0 TFSI and also get decent mileage.

Also thats a pretty good idea, importing a car from the US i might check that out.

[help][rofl][rofl][rofl] If only you knew my mates who work in the Ellesmere Port Vauxhall plant and NONE of them would touch a Vauxhall which over the years have produced some god awful cars. However, everyone to their own... However, yeah just seen your Nissan, very very nice car, that's more like it [thumbup][thumbup][thumbup]

Dont know about gas/petrol, but Diesel is about 8 cent cheaper than in Germany. Recently filled up in Venlo for 1.42€, while the litre Diesel in Germany costs 1.50€.

Well don't know about Vauxhall, but at least Opel has been chosen the best quality German carmaker few years in a row...

But when you compare them to VW and Mercades, that's not that hard really.

Come again?

My wifes 2004 Corsa SXi that we owned from new got a recall notice literally every 3 months that we owned it from new. It was unbeliveable the **** that it got recalled for. It went as part ex on the A4 back in Feb and whilst it looked nice, the build quality was shocking, it felt like a piece of plastic on wheels!

You are actually saying that Opel has a better build quality than Audi? Ever since GM took over in the early 90s, the build quality has gone downhill. They started to pull their asses out of the mudd a couple of years ago (meaning: build quality is okay again), but its still nowhere near BMW or Audi.

Still the germans have chosen Opel to have the best BQ 3 years in a row now... (That's for the new cars)... And if you look at for example a few year old Vectra C interior it's like new... Can't say the same about VW for example...

Thats probably due to the owners getting extremely bored with them after 12 months and then they sit on the garage forecourt until some unsuspecting punter decides to give it a new home

No mate, no argument, I'm simply stating that Opel is Vauxhall they're the same car just marketed under a different name in Europe and USA, so you're right, no point in arguing. It's fact and the UK is full of Vectras so I've seen one or two.

!?!?!
I hate bimmers... Persians love bimmers like my mother and father... My father has a 2002 X5 and my mother has a 2006 3 series... BOTH have problems with the interior build quality (not just assembly but the materials are also cheap quality).

for example my fathers x5 the door handles kept peeling (replaced 5 times) as well as the roof and trunk lights falling off because the plastic tab holding them in broke... The trunk light has been replaced 7 times (plastic breaks). His AC has failed 4 times. My mother has had lots of electrical problems with her 3 series.
