I'll drink it, I just will not intentionally buy it and keep it at home. As far as I'm concerned the whole diet trend is detracting from the quality of non-diet foods and booze. As more manufacturers try to improve the taste of food that will never in a billion ****ing years be palatable they neglect improving the real stuff. ![]() |

Here it refers to the caloric content, and while most of the times light beer will have a lower alcohol content (because they water it down) there are quite a few that are within 1.0% abv of the regular. http://www.alcoholcontents.com/beer/beer.htm Your country sucks. Adopt international standards, for once. |

I know very well what a tailgate is, but unless you're a ****ing redneck, you drink good beer at all times. Awesome reasoning. So I suppose you make stew out of tenderloin as well?
Why drink Bud or Miller in the first place? Because they all taste as bad, but still taste different. Also, at the beach or on a boat of anywhere under the sun really, a lighter beer such as Amstel Light won't dehydrate you as fast. |

The concept of standards is apparently foreign to you. |

What dehydrates is the alcohol content, and as Space05us already noted, light beer in the US does not always have less alcohol. But it very often does. Budwieser is 5%, Bud Light is 4.2% (Miller and Miller Light have the same difference) Amstel Light is 3.5%.

If I'm at a bar, and the light beer is shockingly cheaper, and I have had it before and know it's not utterly vile, I'll switch to it when my tastebuds are shot and can't savor the good stuff.
Which, being Asian and all, means that I only have to buy two or three good beers. This, of course, when I haven't decided to go the liquor route. |
