They have been using a similar tactic here for a while as well. They also constantly reduce the speed limit, in a couple of years it'll be 10kph on residential streets and 60kph on open roads. :@

On many occasions I've seen police cars driving waaay over the speed limit.

I'd love to see one day, where someone is going to record them following the police car totally showing the police speeding especially when they're not actually going anywhere and when their sirens are off.

Then again "police know all. police are right" etc etc.
I was doing 60mph on a 60mph road in the left lane, police car with no sirens or lights flew past me and many other people in the right lane, so I slipped into the right lane and sped up behind him as I knew there was no cameras on that road or mobile ones, he was doing 90mph, followed him for 4 miles quit closely, about 3ft and he did piss all about it [rofl]

Soon as he went off a slip road I slowed down to 60mph again. I always try to keep in the speed limit but when police abuse the speed limit just because they are police, it really pisses me off [cursing]

lol...I won't disclose where I work, but its for one of the local Police forces.
I regularely see unmarked cop cars at this place and one night when driving home, an unmarked cop car, which I recognised by the reg plate, passed me doing about 80mph+, The boy racer in front in his souped up Nova decided to chase him, obviously not realising who this guy was.

A few miles up the road, I spied the Nova pulled over with a very disgruntled armed copper taking down his details.

What a Pratt !!, That Idiot in his Nova got Owned! [rofl]

I can't believe someone was driving a Nova in the UK. Do you know what year it was?

******* ouch!

But I did start thinking about the Chevy Nova from the 80's that was a rebadged Toyota hatchback...

What a wretched move by GM to do that to the Nova.

Indeed it's crafty...

Although don't speed in the first place then it's not a problem

Okay, everyone speeds (I have in the past and got my points too! ) but really the problem is that people choose the wrong place to do so. In the right places then a few MPH is perfectly fine (up to 10MPH over is a 'few' IMO) once you get into silly speeds over the limit (20MPH+ over the posted limit) then of course you get what is coming to you...

Recently the council changed the speed limit on some roads I use to get to work from 60 to 40, odd since they're both non-residential single carridgeways seperated by a central divide.

Seen loads of people racing down them @ 60 and being nailed by a mobile speed unit. That and every time I go down there @ 40 you get somone up your ass flashing his lights and revving his engine.

Our local parish council has done this on 2 roads leading into our town, they used to be 60mph but decided to drop them to 40mph. Now heres the kicker, the police wont endorse the new speed restrictions

P.S. Makes a mental note to one's self to watch his speed from now on because of the above statement because you never know
