Check out Vampire's Kiss, an '89 flick with Nicholas Cage. It's some of his most eccentric acting. Bizarre movie.

Some other ones I remember that haven't been listed (or I didn't notice them being listed):

To Live and Die in L.A.
The Wraith (great movie for car enthusiasts)
Airplane!
Stripes
The Untouchables

Don't forget about the Bill & Ted's, Running Man, Wizard, The Last Dragon, Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins, The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the Eighth Dimension!, UHF, Krush Groove, Road House, or Willow to close it out.

These are all important movies to supplement the selections others have already made.
edit- nevermind, I was thinking about marathon man lol but see that its still good!
running man was 70s..
