I just looked up the laws here and it seems like they are the same.

I own a Honda SH 125 because Geneva is a horrible city to drive in with a car, no place to park it. A scooter is great for Europeans cities because you can park anywhere.
With 6 liters, I can drive about 200 km, the tank is about 7.5 liters. The main problem with scooters is the maintenance. For a 125cc, you have to go every 4,000 km and sometimes it can be expensive (last time I paid 750$ but they did a lot). Rear tire must be changed after 10,000 to 12,000 km, but they're not too expensive (around 70$). You should not skip maintenance because a scooter really needs it regularly if you want to avoid problems. Honda are said to be the best scooters, that's why I bought one. I have driven 50,000km in 5 years and it's still good, no breakdown even though I fell 3 times with it in winter due to icy roads. Honda is really good stuff except that it's all plastic body which is cheap but the engine is top. Good luck. |
What are you gonna do when it rains?

Not to sound stupid, but wear a jacket. I will use a car if I have to, but I would use my scooter/two wheeler as my main transportation.

Anyone own a scooter?
Cut to the chase, gas is going to kill me this summer so I am considering getting a cheap scooter, like this here http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/mcy/601470519.html. Will I really save money with a scooter as most of my driving will be me alone, and usually within a 30 or 40 mile radius of my house. Would it be worth my time and resources to get a scooter/moped?

150cc is considered moped over there?
Here moped/scooter is 50cc...125cc requires a motor license |
