No offense to the lady one way or the other, but I'd love to know how old she is and what her IQ is.

I mean, look at algebra. We all learned it, but I'm sure the majority of us (read, not "all") don't use it in our daily activities. Same deal with learning foreign country capitals. I think it's like having to take those core classes in college - they just want you to be a more well rounded individual.

The country accent was...ugh... but at least it wasn't that shallow materialistic valley girl accent.... that makes me want to shove a muzzle down her throat.

She showed a little wit with the "smarter than a man" comment, but Jeff one-upped her with the comment about hearing a woman's opinion in a deeper voice.

I thought Europe was a country!
Maybe she just confused continent with country there, Europe's a continent, America's a continent but north and south america are 2 different countries

There's no excuse for the is france a country though in some people eyes, she was right though some do speak french in europe, just not the majority

How many europeans could name all the states though isnt there 50 of them, i couldn't name them all, in fact i'd probably just about manage less than half, i could name pretty much every country in europe and the east though

South America is its own continent complete with multiple countries. Same for North America. There is no continent called America.

"Americas" (with the 'S') is indicative of both the North America and South America collectively, however "America" (without the 'S') is usually referencing North America.

Wrong , North and South America are not two different countries. They are two different continents. The countries in North America are Canada, United States, Mexico, just to name a few. Countries below Mexico are part of Central America. Which is a regional area. North America border ends at the border of South Panama.

That may be you're view but there are countless different views throughout the world, in eastern Europe, the american continent is considered to be composed of north america (with all its states) and south america with its few countries.

it all really depends on where you're coming from, which is what my oringinal point was, im sure some may still reference the enitire landmass of europe and asia to be the exact same continent.

for the very definition of the word continent, disregarding some cultures and politics (some being the keyword here because we cant all be familiar with all of them). America is its own continent, Europe (or again for some Eurasia) its its own continent, Australia is its own continent and the antartica is its own continent. A Continent is considered to be any large combined landmass which is seperated from another by a substantial body of ocean.

For modern world politics the continents are: America, Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia and the Antartica

Again depends on your frame of reference, the biggest landmasses or Continents as they are called from this side are Continental Europe and Continental America, then there's africa and australia oh and antartica

Offtopic: Is that a pic of jessica alba in your sig (the second one in) if so can you link me the full size pic please?

I thought each continent was on it's own tectonic plate.

And I thought the term Eurasia came from the book "1984".

[surrender]

edit: oh, and I would DEFINITELY hit that. I would hit that until I died of dehydration.

edit2: Damn I was wrong on both counts, Definition of a continent

Fair enough. I was always taught the 7 continents of the world, which of course makes North and South America separate continents. The need to find a standard to teach [rofl]

I love her!

She's hot, she's got a great voice and she'll never know anything I don't tell her.

That's my kind of woman!

[edit] OHhh... so she's an American Idol winner? I never heard of her before just now. Also, after watching a video, I think she's hotter in the game-show video. But I can dig a chick that sings.\

[edit edit] Hmm... so if Leeann Rhymes can be described as being a Patsy Cline, then Kelly Pickler is definitely a Dolly Parton.

Yup, same goes for me. And no, I'm not being ironic here. Stupid girls are the best! (if they're hot)
