Yep they will work fine, all you need is the adapter.

You can order them from www.amazon.de

dont give up and keep trying all the shops?

took me a week about a month ago to get one, found a crappy game shop ive never been in before and they said they dont take pre orders but they would be getting 40 in stock on bla bla 2 days away so i just went down and sat outside the store on a nice comfortable sofa they had provided, 4 hours of waiting and i had a wii for my son , only 23 other people were in the queue when i got mine.

i think you just have to find out when the delivery dates are to get one, there must be alot of places that refuse to take pre orders you just need to find them

i originally had one on order from crappy littlewoods catalogue since august but they phoned in october saying they couldnt garuntee delivery before christmas lol

Nintendo's nasty sales tactic. Keep demand high by throttling supply, people always want what they cant have [thumbdown]

I refuse to buy one out of principal. How a company the size of Nintendo can fail to meet demand a year after launch is ridiculous.

What makes you think nintendo is doing this on purpose?

"Lets try and sell less by not having any for sale" "yeah good idea, that'll sell more"

Possibly the fact that as a console its crap compared to the 360 and PS3? Once the novelty of flapping your arms around like a looney has worn off it offers nothing.
My friend got one at launch and I dont ever feel the desire to play on it when I go round, and he feels pretty much the same about it too, and he loves games of any kind.

I think that by keeping it in limited supply Nintendo are keeping people interested in it as a large majority in this country always want what doesnt seem to be easily available for some bizarre reason Its like this every year, parents seem to think "oh look that Wii is like rocking horse s**t, we MUST get one of those!!!" lol

Im not saying I'm right, this is just a little theory of mine

Have you tried your local Woolworths? They are often coming on our ordering system in the evening now, we have a long list of customers details and ring them up as soon as they come on. Sold 21 Wii's yesterday before they all sold.

Problem is, every other store in the country will be trying to sell as many as they can so the stock goes fast.

Default Buying a Wii from Germany/France/Holland
My sis wants one as a gift for someone, obviously they're almost impossible to get here and I'm not paying some joker £270 on eBay.

Question is, has anyone bought one from Europe and had it sent here, did everything go OK and does it just need a Euro to UK plug adapter?

Ta
