Default Passed the test with flying colors!
Passedmy driving test this morning today, considering that they made it harder (Damn Them!)
All I need to do now is to complete my log book (Learner's Permit - Stage 2) until it reaches 25 hours, take the hazard perception test & get my P plates!
And then I'll be able to terrorize the streets of Perth or maybe just the student's carpark at my uni... :P

Because people seem to confuse the following things, I have to make this clear:
The big pedal on the left is the brake. The pedal to the right is the gas. They are pressure sensitive, and are not on/off switches.
The drive thru window at the local fast food restaurant is actually a special section of the building you drive your car up to. You don't literally drive through the front window. That's expensive, and you'll probably lose your permit.
Red means stop; green means go.
Just because most minivans and SUVs have some sort of "sport" edition doesn't mean it needs to be driven like a sports car...
I kid, I kid. Congrats on the permit.

Whoa..... are you okay there?
Unfortunately, I'm on a restricted (Automatic-only) license. No fun! but at least I've learned the basic controls.
Thanks guys...

Hey, at least you can drive. Appreciate the fact that you don't have to focus on shifting right now and instead get everything else to become second nature.

Yup, correct. At least I know how to drive, and it is also easier with an auto (I have poor hand & eye coordination.).
Once I complete my logbook & get my P plates, I really think I should enrol myself into an advanced driving course.

Oh I'm in Port Lincoln, not far from Adelaide though...
Yeah I think it was because an older couple were complaining that the 'youths' were too noisy, so they set up cops :P. It was only one that was caught for hooning, and he had his P's. The rest were 15 year olds learning with their parents. I think schools should have courses for 15 year olds on a track or something before they go for their L's so they have some experience....

If I remember correctly, if someone got the manual licence right off the bat, they don't even need to apply for the automatic license. It covers both.

Even if you don't have an L permit yet, you can start practicing with your parents on empty/ abandoned roads or carparks, the farm or anywhere that's wide & has no traffic.
