Default couple of net related tracking questions
Being a verizion customer can i go to them and request a usage log, ie all the traffic thats been through my account and where.

is it posible to change the MAC address of a computer (without buying a new NIC)

You can try, doubt you'll get much, though.

With some drivers, yes, it is possible. Go into device manager and go to the properties for your NIC. It's somewhere there. Keep in mind, this is technically spoofing, though.

In windows XP there's a registry setting you can change for your MAC address.

As for the usage log, I don't believe they give out that information. And depending on what you're looking for they might not even have it. You should probably get a router that has a logging feature.

any ideas where in properties its located? and is there a way to tell if it has been changed from what it originally was?
