Having a contract or not makes NO difference to the price. But if you don't activate the phone, it does nothing. Nada. Nowt. Not a sausage. It just sits there, blank. |
Bugger me, the new iPod Touch is exactly what I need! [thumbup] I don't use my mobile enough to warrant a contract and such an expensive initial purchase.
Love the idea of WiFi also.... I know loads of places, especially Uni that has WiFi so I could easily email and surf on the iPod happily. Well looks like most of money money will be going to Apple this year, new iMac and now a new iPod (genuinely need one as my Mini is a bit temperamental battery wise atm) |

What is surely going to turn into "I told you so" replies about the iphone (even though I love it thoroughly), Apple just announced that the 8GB Iphone is only $399....a full $200 cheaper than yesterday http://discussworldissues.com/forums...ilies/cry1.gif

When did you buy it? I know some retail stores offer price protection in cases of something like this. I would look around, see if you can stir things up. [yes]

Anyways, has anyone heard about how it does with scuffs and scratches? I like to keep my stuff in great condition, so if the screen is going to get scratched all to hell just from me using it, then it will probably be a no go for me... |

That's a serious bitchslap to M$ doing REAL WiFI with browser and musicstore. I also assume that it is flash, which makes it the first 16 GB flash MP3 player and very thin.
Full metal iPod with giant storage and smaller size, that gets a lot of upgrade sales. Tremendous amount of asskicking delivered by Apple on all fronts, the Zune 2.0 better have ALL the features too or it's dead before it even launched. They never have been so safe from the competition in this market like ever before as every competitor NEEDs the touchscreen and Wifi to appeal to the masses. |

I think I really like the iTouch (http://discussworldissues.com/forums...es/tongue1.gif), I wonder if you can check your email, download an mp3 attachment and send it straight to a playlist. I foresee hackers tweaking the iTouch OS and make all sorts of programs making it like a little handheld computer. It's really what everyone always wanted, screw the iPhone. If you want a decent phone, then get a decent phone.
