Default Ebay problem resolved, what feedback to leave?
I bought an x-fi off ebay the other day and when it arrived it had a bent backplate. I was annoyed at first until I managed to remove it and with a hammer and some grips I was able to bend it back in to place.

I sent a message to the member ( powerseller ) showing a pic of the problem, and stating that while I was not looking for a full refund ( the card worked ) a small amount back to me would be sufficient. I got no reply, but I just checked my emails and he has refunded my shipping costs of £5.80!

Now of course I had not left feedback til now, but as he has refunded how should I word it? Should i just say fast shipper, or is it best to mention about the refund? I am more than happy, just not sure what to say?

If it was fixed eaasy enough, and considering he has reimbursed you the postage costs I would leave what kel64 said. No point in making it sound a bit "whingey"

Just say "Nice one" and leave it at that if you're stuck for words. Being a powerseller chances are he deals with a lot of people and cares mainly about the +1 feedback score. If you leave an arsey comment, after he reimbursed shipping costs, then he might leave similar feedback for you. Course that will affect you more in the long term, since the likelihood is his comment will be on page one of your feedback for some time, but with him being a power seller your comment towards him will slip into page 2...then 3 and then disappear from all but the most inquisitive ebayers.

A powerseller doesn't care if you say "Oogity boogity boo" As long as you mark him positive, it won't negatively affect his feedback rating, which is what he cares about.

Say "Good communication, worked through problems to ensure satisfaction" or something of the like.

I would go with that.

And remember guys, just because somebody is a power seller, doesn't mean that other people reading it won't want real feedback...

As a seller I have to do this to stop people not leaving feedback for me. I always appreciate the ones whos problems I help resolve mention it, but then again I have 57 feedback

I think you did the right thing considering that all was sorted to your satisfaction in the end. [thumbup]

I must be mad but I have this thing with ebay feedback.

I leave my buyers good feedback as soon as they pay me and it's in my account.

I see it as they done their job, payed up nice and fast etc.

Always had good feedback in return but reading this I think I must be a tad mad?? [yes]

This is how it should be done, and how I always do it. When someone pays me, they have done their bit, so I leave them feedback.

I will not leave feedback to a seller until he leaves feedback for my payment. I do contact them and ask them if a problem occurred with my payment they received within 5 minutes of the end of the auction. I also make sure they know that I will not be leaving feedback until they do, as I completed my part of the transaction first.

All too often people that hold feedback ransom will leave a negative for a negative. [thumbdown]

I wish more people did it like this. But so many sellers are afraid of bad feedback (if you are sure of your product, why worry?), and hold their's hostage until everything is done. So damned annoying..[thumbdown]

Would definitely leave him positive feedback. I would write something like 'Was a slight problem with X, however rectified immediately, A+'
