I really like what you've done with it.

top.gif and content_bottom.gif are a bit of a challenge to build around when making really personalized designs (I know, _I_ really wanted to change them) and your page incorporates them pretty well. However, it's probably still good to have some common structure for the pages for the competition instead of everything being easily changeable.

It's a lot less restricted if you know a little CSS, if you look at my page, you can see I just left two of the original images on it. http://www.yougamers.com/me/erikl85/

With enough CSS trickery, you can pretty much change everything about the page. It's really an iterative process where people doing cool stuff prompt others to copy those ideas (you can always view page source to see the CSS of any page) and take them in a new direction. Interesting to see where the pages end up, as the bar continuously gets raised.
