People say that, but I walked through some countryside with a metal umbrella in a lightning storm as a kid, passing under a number of electricity pylons, but I am still here.
Yea a shame tho

Default Experts warn of lightning-strike injuries with iPods
Natural selection at work IMHO.

If you are dumb enough to use electronic / metal devices outside during a storm then you are asking for trouble.

Until you live in a place such as Florida (the lightning capital of the world), you really can't have a respect for lightning. Just the other day, lightning struck my Uncle's house and caused a 10 foot hole to form in the roof after it caught on fire. Scary stuff
