no words can describe the awesomeness
After watching it last night at the pre-premier in Budapest, I must say that I absolutely agree [thumbup]

just watched it... it's not all that great after all..
has lots of cheesy lines and a paper thin plot.. the transformations are cool but get boring after a while...
hard to believe a Jerry Bruckheimer production with cheesy lines and paper thin plot. Oh well, there's a first for everything

I haven't seen it, but just watching the trailers, I already know I agree with your analysis. cool sci-fi stuff, loads of eye candy and explosions, but a really dumb and stupid plot. I like most movies like this, lol, but I will definately wait till this comes to pay per view HD, or Xbox live or something. It's definately something I'd watch, but probably don't want to go see it in a theater.

Honestly, do reconsider, the plot IS thin, but this was to be expected, however the humour actually worked well, and the action is absolutely brilliant. I went to see it with the wifey and a mate, neither of which even know anything about the original series / movie / comics, yet they all enjoey it a lot, and were very surprised by how good it actually turned out. Definitely the must-see movie of this summer imho! [thumbup]

alright, i might give it a go then. I love going to matinees in the summer, it's so freaking hot here, and going to the dark, ice-cold air conditioned theater w/ a big Coke is pretty relaxing. Also, i suppose this is definately a movie to see on a big screen w/ great sound.

Didnt think Jerry Bruckheimer had any part in the making of the movie. Damn, us Brits have to wait a looong time.

Yeah why do we have to wait a whole month to see it in this country?[thumbdown]

That's odd, the regular screening has started here in Hungary already [shocked]

This is such a load of bullsh!t.

Why is it coming out on the 27th July here in the uk, whereas everyone else seems to be getting it by July 3rd or so.

As you can tell, I am quite eager to see this film!

I saw it in Australia on Saturday night, and all i can say is........

EVERYONE SEE THIS MOVIE!!!

It rocked beyond the level of anything that has rocked before, the opening scenes just blew me away. A great blend of action/humour, the character development was a little thin for some characters, that was my main criticism, not that i expected it to be any different for a Transformers movie!

Edit: Jon Voight is in this movie, that alone justifies seeing it

Michael Bay has the talent of runny turd. I'll be seeing it on Wednesday, but I'm not happy about (nor am I paying).

Its not like it has to be dubbed or something, English speaking countries should have the same international release date for a movie filmed in english

And people wonder why video piracy is still such a problem

I dissagree entirely. The Rock and The Island were fantastic, and Transformers was very good. I just think certain people expect too much when going to see an ACTION movie. They are designed to be exciting and entertain, not envoke shakespearean emotion

Best ****ing movie I have ever seen, also **** those people who say the plot is to thin and doesnt follow the tv series , you gotta realize that they have to make the movie so that everyone can follow it....not just the hardcore fans that saw the show 20 years ago and every single spin-off since then....

Funny thing about, Jon Voight being in this movie, is that he played the president in the movie Pearl Harbor. Thus makes him the president that started S-7 in this movie. Wicked huh.

Watching it today in about 7 hours. I got to get some sleep!

edit: If it wasn't for Spider-Man I'd be watching this on IMAX at Universal City! *sign...* It's been such a long run already I find it hard to believe it hasn't been pulled yet in favor of Transformers.
