When I was watching his special last night I actually got teary eyed watching it. This was the guy who really made me a wrestling fan when i was growing up. (I rarely watch anymore) This guy was the most hard working, respected wrestler ever (behind the scenes). He never got into any trouble that I know of or caused any problems. My only guess is that something happened and it went to far and he killed his wife. After that he couldn't face knowing his son would grow up without a mom and a dad in prison so he killed himself and his son. That is what I think might have happened. Or it was some crazy conspiracy going on. Im still can't believe this happened to him and his family. I hate to see a great career and legacy of this man to be tarnished because of this tragedy. The guy I read about and heard so many people say good things about him is not the same guy who commited this crime. It doesn't make sense how a normal nice guy turns into a killer in a split second. This world is crazy. Travel well....

Agreed, all the people talking about him had nothing but nice htings to say about him, makes no sense that he would do such a thing unless he wasn't in a proper state of mind

Folk seem to be blaming steroids, who really knows

end of the day the police could say it's murder-suicide, but it could have been just plain murder and staged to look like suicide etc, no one really knows I suppose, although who would murder him?
Ya okay lol.

It would take the Redskins entire offensive line to stage this, first of all the guy has a gated mansion. Strangle his wife, suffocate a kid, and lift a 250lb guy who is completely jacked onto a noose? Seriously, be rational.

Benoit held several titles over his career but realized his dream at Wrestlemania 20 in 2004, defeating Shawn Michaels and champion Triple H in a triple threat match at Madison Square Garden to win the WWE world heavyweight championship for the first time. I don't understand that. It's staged - was his dream that the script writers wrote it so?

Basically the way it works is that a wrestler's individual performance (how they stage their stunts, how convincingly they "sell" others' moves, how athletic they are in the ring, etc) affects how well the fans and wrestling companies react to them, and ultimately defines how far they go in the business. Other things factor in, like charisma, mic skills, politics and the like, but the guys who are best at all of the above go the farthest. So in effect their careers are actually quite a bit in their own hands, at least ideally.

I'm.... something of a fan myself. No, I'm not proud.

Some latest news about this:-

http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2...290539,00.html

WRESTLING killer Chris Benoit was so obsessed with steroids - he even injected his seven-year-old son with growth hormone.

Daniel - who was murdered by Benoit along with mum Nancy before the WWE star committed suicide - was found with needle marks in his arms. Pretty shocking really.

When did anyone who killed themselves and their family do it in a proper state of mind?

I would not be suprised if this is a story fabricated by the WWE and the media just for them to come up with some story where he returns and does a Undertaker

got publicity written all over it

I dont know if to believe it or not

Do you think the WWE would fake the deaths of his wife and son? Pretty cruel if they came to some arrangement like that, i hardly think they could hide and not be seen by anyone until his 'comeback'.

An update
The family was struggling before the killings with how to care for the child, who suffered from a rare medical condition called Fragile X syndrome, an inherited form of mental retardation often accompanied by autism, said Jerry McDevitt, an attorney for World Wrestling Entertainment.

"Him and Nancy were clearly struggling about this whole issue, about how to take care of Daniel," said McDevitt.
Havent there been cases of parents killing their autistic children because they completely gave up hope or something like that? Could be an in site into motive.
