Default An apoligy for all FM members
Hey all, some of you may have seen the post titled "Art or pornography" that was posted in the Digital Arts section.

Basicly, within the thread, was a link to a pornographic site, which contained bondage and extreme female nudity.

Until today, I was not aware that this was posted, as I received several serious infractions for posting such material.

To cut a long story short, I have found out that my younger brother posted this link as a petty "revenge", all because I wouldn't let him use my car! My FM account was left on "stay logged in" and he posted in the thread under my name. He is very lucky I haven't broken his fingers!

Morel of the story.... KEEP YOUR SECURITY UP! If you are on a shared computer, for the love of god, don't leave your account logged in!

I have later found hes been plugging around with my eBay account! Not good!

So a huge sorry to all members that may have read or posted in the thread.

Because it happens. My sister did something similar to me about 5 years ago.

Because this time, we actually know her brother, and can easily believe he did it...

That's ok. I haven't seen it anyway.

That's why I keep all my passwords to myself. Even my girlfriend (we live together) doesn't know my passwords even though she tried to look at the keyboard, when I type it in, to see it. She tried even further by saying, that if I have nothing to hide, I wouldn't mind telling it to her. Well, let me just say, that I don't fall for these female tricks anymore ;-)

I always lock my account after I don't use it.

Yes it does happen! If you have any brothers or sisters, im sure you will (maybe not) know how malicious they can be without thinking!

There is only 3 years gap between me and my brother, but sometimes he can be a real d**k!

Anyway, I take family and children portraits day in, day out, and have no interest in that genre of photography.

No, it's on 24/7.

At work I lock my workstations every time I leave my office, it doesn't bother me, I have to practice what I preach. I sometimes do it by reflex at home too.

BTW, what kind of car wouldn't you let him drive? It would have had too have been a Porsche type car or something like a high end American car like an SRT8 for me to do something like that.

Well the key thing here is that you have taken responsibility for your actions. Even though It was not you directly "trashing" this site, you have taken responsibility and solved the problem. Wether or not it was in fact your brother is irelevant, it was your account, and was posted under your name.

Thank you for pointing out this problem, rectifying it, and apologizing. Very honorable.

Try an XP machine in a domain with no local accounts.
