Just saw it a bit earlier, it was a great episode. Am i right in hearing there's only 2 more episodes this series? I thought they usually did 25? [surrender] |

The last three posts have said the same thing - there's basically 3 hours more of lost. How you want to count the episodes doesn;t really matter.
Maybe I missed something, but did anyone else find it strange that Ben now looks to be one of the oldest on the beach, yet the he's surposidly one of the youngest as he grew up and meet (the now) "others" when he was a child. The whole age thing is totally messed up. |

Didn't Ben say he brought the rest of the "others" to the island? |

I'm getting confused with the names: Ben came onto the island with his dad(?) to work with the Darhma crew - they all got killed off by the hostiles (the current others). Ben met the hostiles as a child, at about 12 years of age. The guy he met in the wooded area (hostile) is now still in the series as an "other", and still has speaking lines yet Ben is way older than him, yet by all acounts should be pretty much in his 70s or at the very least approaching retirement age. |

you've got it correct. The guy's name is Richard and he was also the doctor that was sent to recruit Juliette. So, yes Ben should theoretically be one of the younger people on the island. But if you'll also notice Richard didn't look all that great when Ben first met him he was very unkept with dirty close and what not. Now with Ben "in charge" things on island seem to be much better for the others. I don't know if that means anything but it might. My guess why Richard looks young is because the company he worked for Mittlos Bioscience was researching life extension and the Hanso Foundation also had a project involving life extension of which they had some success extending the life of a Orangutan if I remember correctly. |

Or maybe the writers have ****ed up...[rofl] Personally I like it when they had the raft and a boat in the distance went past, or when they saw a horse in the woods and you could see the persons arm holding it by the reins to keep it in shot but they didn't crop it properly. All in all I get the impression it's a very low budget program. |

My guess is (a bit convaluted but hear me out) that Ben has somehow captured Jacob, who is a spirit leftover from that slave ship. By capturing Jacob, Ben is able to have access to his powers, thus making him leader to the rest of the others. Jacob, is a distant relative of Locke, and through his spirit powers was able to bring Locke to the island, to help release him. What really makes me think this is that A) from the silloutte it looks like locke, B) Ben did not hear what jacob said, and seemed adament to know what was said, jealous almost. C) Ben shoots Locke to take out any potential threat to his prowress as leader of the others and not lose access to whatever power he is syphoning off jacob.
ok, so it is a bit far fetched, butcmon, the whole concept is. |

I gotta say though, Lost has truly past the line of reality.
It's no longer reality, most of it has become a "wtf?!" situation. Now it's just messing with our heads. Apparently, I think they've got a total of 6 seasons planned. I think I read that they could easily explain everything within one episode but they don't want to. They have a reason but I can't remember what. |
