Such as people with American Muscle Cars? imo Jap Tuner cars (Ricer's as i believe the yanks call them) are the better cars, they have smallish Tuneable to heck engine, that make an awesome sound when turbo Charged and have a decent exhaust sytem and induction Kit fitted, They also tend to be faster than the large engined American Cars. Due to the cars being Lighter and also being able to get more power from a smaller capacity, also the power is more usable in a Jap Tuner car, especially if you have 4WD such as a Subaru Impreza or Mitsubishi Evo.

Blown engine vs engine that was built to run. These so called American cars are built to run fast and be daily drivers. The ricers are a bunch of engines on steroids, they dont last. We could make a 4 cylinder on nitro run quick but it wont live 3 years before blowin smoke out its ass .

well, if anyone ever asks you why it's called "ricer" or "to rice a car up" you got a video that explains it
Its not a ricer, its called Bosozuko style. Its a trend in Japan, just like any country that has a trend. Its all part of culture.

So dont make fun of something you dont understand and cant appreciate.

What is there to appreciate? They are driving cars with meter long tail pipes, gigantic ice scrapers in the front, and EVERYONE has one of three "tail" designs. There is nothing unique about those ridiculous cars - everything is obviously kit bought and just slapped on. Their "mods" have taken no skill what so ever, and look horrible because of it!

Mind pointing out where i said otherwise?

And personally, lifting a truck takes more mechanical skill than those peices of crap, so even that is a bad example...

I must have missed something.
Other than crawling around a car park and avoiding the odd traffic cone, is there a point to this ?

It doesnt take skill, you buy kits and you slap them on your truck. Same difference.

Like i said before, every culture has its own trend. If you cant appreciate it or have nothing good to say about some one else's creation, then shouldn't talk about it in the first place. Cause to them their cars are art, and your V8 gas guzzlers are junk.
They are the once that brought to the world a Walkman. Next thing ill be hearing; I cant believe these idiots managed to produce plasma tv and VHS player.

Japanese cars last longer then any American car, thats why they hold their resale value much better. And they produce more power with same or less engine size right out of factory with better emissions.

It's a cultural thing that we obviously don't understand or appreciate. I think we should leave it at that.

That being said, there sure are a lot of japanese cars being driven around in America. Many of them are 'daily drivers' and some last forever. It doesn't take a 300hp engine to get from point A to B. The people in Japan are obviously doing something right, even if it's not totally apparent from what you see.

Japenese cars may last longer but not with all the addons it takes to compete with bigger engine cars. and they sound like shiteee, its embarrasing to me when I see these little buggers come round me . I just love to mash the gas on the cobra and watch there eyes get big. wingywingydingy they try to catch up but that briggs and stratton lawnmower engine aint gonna get there . YOU SEE MY TAILLIGHTS? thats cos Im ahead of ya.

You sure can tell your age with this post (can be any older than about 25). I love to take money from guys like you that think your little highly tuned turboed imports are fast. Sure anything can be made fast I will admit that but it takes so much more work and money to make an import fast and reliable than it does an american muscle car.

So lets give a little example here. Lets take a fully forged and stroked to larger cubic inches EVO that is AWD that is highly tuned with a HUGE turbo and put it against a stock LS1 all aluminum motored camaro with a simple bolt on supercharger and see who would win. Oh wait my friend with the camaro won that race and took $1,000 from the poor kid in the EVO and had half the amount of money in his car as the EVO kid did.

Now was that EVO fast? Hell yeah it was fast but this camaro runs low 10's and the EVO runs high 10's so no contest.

The car in my sig is a classic and nobody can say anything different. The car is 31 years old and in mint pristine condition. When your precious imports reach that age 99% of them will be crushed and on scrap piles. Oh and if you think you have anything for me then by all means step up to the plate. I would love to take your money too when your precious import gets is @$$ waxed by my 31 year old heavy lead sled of a camaro.

I have come to a conclusion that I can not talk about cars on this forum of mostly young kids. Most kids today have no style and no sense of reality. There views on things are skeewed with misinformation and no hard facts. The smaller import engines can be made fast but WILL NEVER reach the levels that american muscle cars and V8 engines have created.

Those cars are sweet. If i had supreme woodworking skills ([rofl]) I'd build one up myself just to spite people like the OP. Closed minded individuals who are so ignorant that they find themselves in love with the ugliest generation of camaros (sorry to make it personal).

I see no difference between the Japanese Funny Car and American Funny Car. They are built to show off and they sure got our attention.

Comparing muscle car with rally car is just as weird, one is designed to go straight while the other turning. It is like comparing Hayabusa with V-Rod.

hey uglychild got a question for you, mind telling me where you got your info at? the info where you drew the conclusion that japanese cars outlast ALL american cars? mind posting a link,? cause sir i beg to disagree, ive got 5 vehicles in my drivway some japanese, 1 german, and 3 american cars. an old saturn beater, (512,000 miles) damned thing refuses to die. i wish it would cause it is too ugly to sell, i digress, ive also got a 91 lincoln, which still runs great. and a 69 chevelle ( with a 383 stroker in it) absolutely loves to go fast straight, but thats about it. most of these discussions, everyones spoutin opinions. i want fact. not sales fact, but repair fact, which those making the charges are obliged to provide, for me to be taken seriously. heh if you prove me right, ill admit you win. simple as that my friends

You need a link??? Its common knowledge. Jap cars hold resale value higher then Bavarian or American do to better quality. Period. A $100,000 Benz and BMW drops $10k in value in less then a year, after that it gets worse. So you do the math.
Do some research dude.
