Beef jerky is so awesome but it's totally unaffordable in Canada.
Is meat in general expensive in Canada ?

I hate Oberto jerky. It's WAY too sweet, and I don't like its texture, either.

THIS is the good stuff:

Exactly. Its like its coated in wax or something. Probably some form of preservative. Its just not the same as homemade or a small batch jerky company.

/Looks at epenis
Damn! still small

Damn, now I'm hungry.

BTW, there's a local company around here that produces some of the best jerkey I've ever had. They sell packaged nuts, jerky, and those sorts of snacks. We carry them where I work, along with Pemmican and a few others, and the smaller company makes MUCH better stuff. We sell the stuff for like $3.59 for a tiny bag, but it's well worth it. [thumbup]

Deer jerky is pretty good as well. (softer) I have a bad jaw and that is so good. I cant gnaw on the hard peices, have to suck on them. It hurts so bad, but oh so worth it. [surrender]

Well that certainly is an assload of beef jerky. I'd kill all of that in roughly >1 hr. I'm like a beef jerky eating machine. One of those bags doesn't even cut 15min for me. [rofl] I'm bad about it. But I'm like really picky on the brands I buy. I don't care much for either of the two brands you ought. The one I eat alot I can't remember the name --- just remembr it by picture...

but damn, beef jerky is beef jerky. Love that stuff.

Ich bevorzuge Schinkenbeisser o.ä.

Dried meat is against my personal views of healthy stuff. I have grown up with meat that has been refrigerated all the time to keep it in good condition.

Does this taste more like leather or is it actually soft when chewing on it?

What i also like from time to time are "Landjäger" which are also dried pretty much

Well Beef Jerky isn´t really that unhealthy (sure it´s not that healthy either),
but it´s rather low on calories, so just what i need before and after visiting the fitness-studio.

i always think dried meat is already starting to rot...

so is it soft then or rather hard to chew on?

i also like these small sausages you can get in "Metro" or "real"

they are almost like cabanossi, similar to Bifi
