Default HD-DVD kicks behind!
Haha.. I love HD-DVD! I have seven movies of various vintage and they all look great! Grand Prix for example is a joy to watch, and Dune is likewise. I watched Chronicles of Riddick tonight. The sound is great as well!

Man I'm so glad I upgraded my HTPC! Time to order more HD-DVDs....[thumbup]

Now if only the price of BD drives would drop below a number that mortals can afford I could get one of those as well for my HTPC.

I have to agree. I love my HD-DVD 360 add-on. The picture quality is awesome. I have 6 movies already and there are more coming out all of the time. Funny thing is that the past two times I went to Best Buy to purchase HD-DVD's someone else was right next to me buying movies with their 360 HD-DVD player in their hand. Seems to be a popular way to go.

I just wish they would have more simultaneous releases with HD-DVD's and DVD's. HD-DVD's seem to be a week or two behind.

Didn't you have to pay import toll though? I had to pay 80 NOK or so on a game costing 210 NOK

No, not toll but you have to pay 25% VAT on anything that costs more than 200 NOK.

What's the cost of HD-DVD titles in the States?

I want the flexibility and superior scaling of a HTPC. The software is a little buggy now though but not problematic. With a HTPC I can output any resolution I want to match any display and at any refresh rate and it will scale the picture extremely well. I can output at 24, 48 or 72 Hz if the display can run at that frequency. I can install a BD drive as well and have a hybrid HD-DVD/blu ray player integrated into one unit.

I'm going to go downstair to watch a movie now.
