Damn, no climax.
The end was the climax. What were you expecting, fireworks?

This was like a trance tune with a buildup but no explosion. It sort of just died out where hell should have been let loose.

This and trance don't even belong in the same thread.

Nice find Aramchek, now looking for the single...

So you'd like every song to end in the same fashion? There's nothing worse than knowing what's going to happen, you might as well not listen.

Did I ever state it was you nitpick? I meant I got the same feeling listening to this.

Some might say that's very fitting actually.

This isn't a critisism by any means, but I wonder why people kind of always expect that type of thing when in reality things just kind of go,gradually, slightly changing, building and then just.stop. [/semi-coherant thought of the day.]

Well I sure as hell wont like it any different just because you said this. It wasn't bad, but it lacked a certain something.

The funny thing is it really isn't as esoteric
Exactly as I thought but looking at some people's reactions I couldn't imagine them listening to other Coil, Boards of Canada, Paul Wilkus, late Radiohead.

Maybe I should break out some good ole' Metal Machine Music and watch their heads explode.

Sounded to me like someone with a broken modem trying to connect to the internet in India during morning prayer...

I listened to it all the way through though, so I guess that says something...

Interesting, you listen to music just once?

Yes, I listen to boring music just once. I like music with subtleties that enhance the listening after the first visit. I don't wanna think "here comes the inevitable climax" or "here's the slow part".

After listening a song once it should be pretty clear where the calm part is or where the climax is. Doesn't really take a song to be "bad" to be able to figure that out. Saying that music in which you know what's coming isn't worth listening is just rubbish.

This may surprise you but there are bands that dynamically use more than 2 levels of sound. Most mainstream bands provide engineers/producers with the freedom to use the same compostional tricks that after a while become mind numbingly boring.

People have different thresholds of how many times they can listen to something and not become bored. Mine is pretty low unless I connect with the music somewhat.

That music is quite brilliant is my conclusion after listening through it.

Makes me think of Tool on drugs, but then different.

I always give music two minutes when I'm listening to new music. Two minutes to establish itself. To either start going somewhere, or to start to lay the foundations...

After two minutes, the music did something... gave me a headache. Seriously, did it have to be so high pitched? Minus the high pitched sound, I could probobly have really enjoyed that.

Jesus Christ I'm a minute and a half in and I can't believe I haven't turned it off yet. Excrutiating.
