Default F@#$ing deer.
My OBW is being rushed for immediate lookover but I'm not sure it's going to make it.

About an hour ago a deer jumped off of an embankment on the side of the road, directly on to the hood of my car leaving the bumper and other such nifty impact absorbing devices completely out of the equation. The deer proceeded to fly about 12 feet high into the air, spiraling three or four times before lqanding at the base of a tree, standing up,shaking himself off and then running away.

A pity my car didn't fare so well,my radiator is about a foot back from where it should be,rested quite nicely on the motor itself, both fenders and the hood mushroomed out like crazy from the impact point and I've got a deer-antler-hole in the one fender. The car runs and I didn't see anything leaking, but I'd say there's a decent chance there's some nice structural damage under there.

$%#$%#$%E$%^#!!!!!!!

Chill it, you sound like Lord Micron.

You're OK, it's important, the deer is worse and the car is repairable. No need to found a Jihad against deers because of this incident. [thumbup]

Why? The deer got up and ran off...it's lucky I don't go around armed though as messing my car up sure makes a nice big venison steak sound even more appealing.

It was a decent deer too 4-6 point, mind you I didn't get a great look but it was definately nice sized as the deer-body imprint on the hood can attest to.

I wish I could eat that motherfXXker.

There is a turbo 1st gen leg with a brand-new motor and a brand new 5spd in it available for a great price...so at least if the car's dead maybe I can get that instead. I don't like the way the older ones look as much but it's lighter and it's got a turbo so it'd be fun anyhow.

Depends how bad the outback is.

I've killed 7 deer with cars, thank you very much.
And your avatar is what you do when they don't die right away.

You mean with a vehicle? an Elk will destroy a car 3-4x more then a deer. If you mean road hunting as in using your vehicle pulling over, jumping out and shooting, that is illegal.[rolleyes]

Aramchek, Pennsylvania is #1 in accidents involving vehicles and deer in the U.S., Michigan is 2nd. I hope you have comprehensive insurance coverage.?

Oh yes. Try a 3/4 Ton PowerStroke Turbo Diesel with a 3/4" Steel Brush guard on it.

First day of of the season is the best to go out and road hunt.

Nope,I *thought* I did,but no. I'm through my grandfathers insurance through a local company because he just has a ton of vehichles and it turns out he didn't opt for covering deer accidents.

DKM,thanks for the offer,it's already at the mechanic and I'll know prolly by tommorow wether it's worth fixing or not.

I really might just go for this turbo legacy that's around instead of fixing it up anyhow,it just depends how much repairs are gonna be.

I wish I had video footage of that ******* flying through the air,it *almost* makes it worth the accident just to have seen that.

Anyhow,I think part of his antler broke off in my fender,I'm gonna look for it and put the damn thing on my keyring if I find it.
