The very best way to eat a tomato is on a hot summer day.

You walk out into the garden and feel the hot sun beating down on your body. Ahh..you spy the perfect tomato and quickly snap it off from the vine.

Take your shirt tail and gently wipe the dust from its taut skin....now sink your teeth in it and feel the explosion of flavor as you pierce the skin and the warm juice trickles down your chin...

Yeah..I like tomatoes.
Anyone ever tell you that you should write smut books? [rofl]

Sometimes eating can be a very sensual experience.

I love Tomato's in all forms, but I especially like to eat those little cherry ones. We have to buy several punnets at a time because if we buy only one, they're unlikely to make home without me eating them all on the bus

Am I the only one who enjoys a nice fresh tomatoe? I'm not talking ketchup or Ragu i'm talking the raw fruit from the vine? 80% of my friends say they hate tomatoes...unless its ketchup or something. Am I the only one who likes freshly chopped tomatoes on my salad or pasta? Sometimes I like plain butter noodles with freshly chopped tomatoes ontop, but for some reason I seem to be the only one who enjoys it. Does anyone on FM enjoy a fresh tomatoe or 2 sometimes? Or do you consider me weird bcause I eat/like em raw?
I think they are brilliant, this summer we harvested around 400 tomatoes - cherry, plum cherry and "normal" ones

I ate the cherry tomatoes like sweets [thumbup]

Has anyone ever tried these little orange cherry tomatoes? They are so delicious and intense. Far better than regular cherry tomatoes. They're called golden gem hybrids.

Yes those are the type we grew! I noticed they had a orange tinge to them but didn't udnerstand why now i know...and damn they are good! sweet + sour and a burst of flavor! even after you've eaten like 100 of em it still surprises you with the great taste! Nothing better then a cherry tomatoe off the vine thats warmed by the sun! so juicy!

Yes..I have had those. They are really good.

I love yellow tomatoes. They have a lower acid content than the red ones. One year I had so many in my garden I ended up canning them for juice.

I also like the occasional fried green tomato.
