or find something healthy you like that wont make you blow up like a balloon. Then take the money you would normally use to buys ciggs and get a shitload of it. Also finding something to keep you busy, I always found cleaning the tar off the walls to help me. Seeing that **** on white walls and the difference before and after just aids to your drive to quit smoking.
I have however fallen back into the smoking thing, but I live with chainsmokers right now and I promised myself as soon as I move out im going to quit agian. Keep in mind I have been smoking since I was 11 and im 23 now so it's hard to quit a childhood habit.

Dude, quitting ciggies is easy, i quit all the time!

But seriously, good luck to you, its a hard road, ive tried it myself, but only got a couple of feet (1day) before nico-craving sets in...

its all coz i have too much money and fell in with a bad crowd...

Still tho, good luck, keep it up, soon you wont want any of them again....

those might be signs of withdrawal or sideeffects of the drug

but with 40 a day, you got that G2X7950 together in no time

It dont work like that as you always buy something to offset the cigs like food / drink etc

My workmate quit after smoking two packages a day for 20 years also with the help of Zyban. He has had trouble sleeping since he quit, he only get's a good nights sleep when he's dead tired. We work closely together and the first two months was really a pain in the ass, oh the moodswings. The most trivial setbacks sent him into a fury and some people were almost afraid of him.

He quit in the beginning of this year and he still see no benefits from quitting, but he stays away from the smokes because he went through hell quitting and don't want it all to have been in vain.

I gave up smoking years ago and I gotta admit that looking back smoking seamed like the stupidest thing I've ever done. However my tip would be, if you go out drinking and smoke someones ciggies don't buy a pack to "give some back to them". Also if you have a relapse and buy a pack when drunk. Next day destroy them. Totally. Bin them. A relapse doesn't mean you are "back on the fags"

I had hundreds of relapses and it took a couple of years before I was a complete non-smoker. I now hate the smell of cigarettes. Luckily they are banned from pubs here now [thumbup]

I feel sorry for people trying to battle an addiction, so i never poke fun at someone trying to quit.

But honestly, it baffles me why you would even start to light up in the first place. Impressionable teenage years or something im guessing?

I quit December 29th of 2005. I also used zyban and thought it helped alot.

The "habit" part of my addiction is harder for me to deal with than the cravings so I bought those long pretzel rods and for the first couple of months I ate 3-4 bags a week. They did help my fidgeting hands and also gave me something to chew on for my oral fixation.

I had a setback in April when complications from major surgery put me on long term bedrest but I am doing better now. I also weigh 17lbs less than I did before I quit and I credit that to the pretzels.

If you are really having it rough your dr might also want you to try the patch for a few weeks in addition to zyban. Just clear it with him first. I know several people who did that or used the pills plus the gum or lozenges.

About a month after I quit I noticed that I wasnt running out of breath and that was really encouraging.

Don't give up...m'kay? I know you can do it.
