Sorry for your loss A_T, I know exactly how you feel as just over an hour ago, I had to have my cat put to sleep
Luckily it was quick for her, but its still a hard thing to go through.

R.I.P Fluffy aka the Fluffster!

When I was ~15 my dogs would sleep on my bed from time to time. Anyways, let one of them sleep on my bed one night and when I woke he was dead.

Have you thought of maybe getting another little pup to start new memories?
Or better still, a cat?

Oh man, sorry for your loss AT and Langaleer

We lost one of our 16 year old cats in March. I hope they all have fun on the other side.

I lost my best friend. He died in my arms today...

Been a rough day for me losing a long time best friend.

I got him when I was 13... Now pushing 25.

I love you Early! You are in my heart forever!

I thought it was going to be a picture of a Voodoo3...

bad luck, it sucks when they go.

our dog sleeps in front of doors, when he goes i'm going to have him stuffed and use him as a draft excluder.

Childhood pets are the roughest to part with. I feel for you. I've had to let go of 5 of them.

2 Dogs.
1 Cat.
2 Rats.

All of them were members of my family.

Thank you guys, It has been a crazy, mixed bag emotion day.

He is in a much better place now! Playing with all his buddies who have since passed on!

I am blessed to have him go in the place he felt the most peace, in my arms and near the river.

Sorry to here that AT.. It's always a hard thing to deal with for sure. I went though it a few years ago when my buddy Peanut passed on. He made it to a ripe old age of 16..

Beautiful Dog... Sorry for your loss AT.

I felt the same way when I had to say good bye to my Siberian Husky "Chuck"

I can totally relate. I was holding Max my labrador, when the vet came to the house to put him down. he was 13. Couldn't walk any more and didn't eat. I felt like **** after.....

Sorry for your loss.

That's the worst thing about owning a pet, you know that one day you will have to say goodbye.

That sucks, sorry for your loss.

It sounds like you gave him a good life and a good friend throughout his life though.

Sorry for your loss, I know how it feels. All the pets we have are family members, and it really hurts when you lose one. Especially a pet that you first had as a child.
