I've had a sigma BC1600 for numerous years that suddenly stopped working 1 day after i did the animal path in wales several years ago (perhaps 4-5?). Because im today cycling to work and only generally back on the bicycle a little more nowadays i decided to consider solving it and lo and behold found a split up in the wire underneath among the squat connections i was using to keep the wire to the forks. the computer today 'works' i.e. gets a sign from the magnet/sensor nevertheless it has ended reading by a significant big profit e.g. it registered 2.09miles to work today when I understand from vehicle odometers its about 1.3miles give or simply take - thats an of about 60%!! I've calculated the area of the wheel by two methods... Place an label on with a tape measure on the ground and did one complete turn and also calculating the size of the wheel and multiplying by 3.14 with equally giving comparable results, nevertheless, this wheel dimension is giving me the huge over study that i described. Anybody had any similar issues and any solutions?? p.s. computer has got the choice for two wheel dimensions and have set both only incase one set was buggered some how.
