Default Severe difficulties with comcast webspace
Got a problem for you all. Unsure what's happening and speaking with comcast assistance is much like having my teeth pulled without anesthetic. I've previously opened a ticket with comcast after talking with an amount 2 woman who explained that it was not working because I had a need to powercycle my device and that my SMTP options weren't right in my own email system and it was creating an issue with FTP......WTF is comcast technology assistance smoking!!!! The issues began using the comcast webspace update from 25mb to 1gb. I could not access documents I've submitted for the webspace following the update. I get one that the files don't exist, however the files is there were submitted properly when I login through FTP. I will add a at one computer through the FTP software, and then obtain the file without problems and access the website on another device. And yes, this really is my comcast webspace, perhaps not my own storage. Like a check I logged in via FTP (does not matter which computer I do-it from, macintosh, computer, linux, all have the same problem) and pulled a document in the service called bce01.jpg to the computer. The file downloaded without concern and i quickly renamed the file bce02.jpg and submitted it for the identical listing I downloaded it from. They're the same quality, after recharge I will have two documents in my own webspace described bce02.jpg and bce01.jpg. bce01.jpg was submitted before comcasts update. bce02.jpg is just a copy of bce01.jpg but submitted following the update. Therefore if I visit the URL for the pictures i understand this. http://mywebpages.comcast.net/wjrneo2/bce01.jpg Listed here is the content I submitted to the exact same index. http://mywebpages.comcast.net/wjrneo2/bce02.jpg Begin to see the mistake? The document is there, I'd post a screenie of the listing showing that both documents are submitted properly but I can't! I usually get one saying the document isn't there. In my experience this smells of permissions mistakes. I've gone forward and check always the permissions for the recently published files and ensured they're read/write permissions 666 therefore the files could be read and written to, although not performed. I've tried using Interarchy (mac), and on PC I have tried using WS_FTP, traveler internet files, and some other freeware ftp applications. But still no chance. I've got a show of webspace I am SPENDING money on, but can't upload to it because people can't see the documents I upload.
