Touchdown is a must have if you use your phone with an Exchange server IMO. A load of users replaced their Blackberries with Samsung S3s recently and they were fast becoming my most hated device to support (which award previously went to the Blackberry), but Touchdown seems to have solved all the issues they were having with the default email app.

That sounds strange. The Touchwiz email app that came on my Epic4G was a great little emailing app. I actually miss using it since I switched to CM9. Easy to set up and use, looked great, lots of features. I haven't gotten a S3 yet, but I was hoping the email app was going to be the same as what I had before, but it almost sounds like it's not. I've been considering getting Touchdown to replace the email app on CM9 because that one is simply terrible.

The default email app on HTCs seems to be a lot better (or maybe it's just that the users are less fussy) as I haven't heard any complaints from those users.

Default Share your favorite Android apps
Hello everyone, I just bought a Galaxy S3 (sadly not the quad core version) and it's the best phone I ever had.

Today is a special day because I get to laugh at my workmates sad face after getting an Iphone 5, once they see my S3 but the point of my thread is to share what are your favorite apps and games on Android.

(Screenshots taken from my phone)

Apps :

X-Plore file explorer :

My favorite. Clean and to the point, dual pane (so for file transfers one pane is destination, one pane is original location), .zip and .rar file browsing, .zip creation, but the best thing is you can see your windows shared folders, also SMB shares
+ dropbox (and some other online storage services as if they were part of the phone's filesystem)

N7player :

MX Player

Nice controls, swiping up/down on left portion of the screen controls brightness, swiping up/down on right
portion of screen controls volume. Supports many file formats, multiple subtitles, etc. Also has the ability to
render only the audio (I use that at work sometimes)

Airdroid is really great also, it's a web interface to access your phone. (Works over wifi)

from there you can transfer files back and forth, manage/create contacts, manage apps (install/uninstall)
see your phone history, sms history, you can even stream music from your phone to a builtin media player with great sound quality. Oh and view your pictures in gallery mode.

Yeah, I like Kies Air for that kind of thing. Runs faster than Kies itself

Hmm, Airdroid looks much much much better and more feature packed, than Kies Air ?? (judging from the playstore page of Kies Air).

My favorite is Netflix. Second favorite is Swiftkey. Third favorite is GrooveIP for making wifi calls or free calls over 3g/4g.

edit: I am definitely adding airdroid. How is this app not more widely known?

I found the GUI of the S2 (by viewing a friends) horrible, how is the S3's? I have an Xperica Arc S myself and the standard GUI is pretty terrible on that too so GoLauncher is a must. I actually went crazy and bought a theme but I like it a lot (though in the pic the bottom left app drawer icon is out of place for some reason).

It's a GoLauncher theme called Flik. Though there are lots of great themes on GoLauncher and their default one is really good too. I suggest turning off app names straight away, you soon find that they're completely unnecessary.

I just added Pulse it's pretty good.

Anyone tried the game called Bombshells :P Hell's Belles ?

https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...9tYnNoZWxscyJd

Also Shadowgun + expansion (was free to Samsung S3 owners for a while) and FLCommando.

I'm surprised at how good and good looking the games have become on phones now.
