Just a question. If you only have 1 single site which gives you around $100 per day from Adsense alone, how much is the selling price of such website? Please give me your opinion on the price and what factors do you consider before putting a price to it? Thanks.
I read from a 2006 post by John Chow for Jason Calacanis as quoted below. 4: Jason Calacanis: Weblogs, Inc. – $120,000 per month Before Jason Calacanis sold Weblogs, Inc to AOL for $25 million, he got the network of blogs making over $4,000 a day from Google AdSense. Jason would have earned for himself $1,460,000 per year from Adsense. If it is sold for 25 million, that is 17 years earnings from Adsense. Is 17 years Adsense earnings a gauge for selling one's website? |

I have heard that ONE year's earnings should be the price.
Therefore, if the earnings are $100 per day, then the site should sell for $36, 500. Agree? Disagree? Of course, there are other factors, such as site quality. If the site is borderline MFA, it is not worth as much as a site with quality content. MFA sites tend to disappear. Also, how much daily posting is required/ expected? Do you want to work your butt off every day, of maybe just cruise for awhile? What is the SERP history? Has the site been going up or going down? Will the seller provide all the detailed stats that you ask for? Is the seller in a rush to sell? Is the seller from your country? Have you researched the seller online? Have you studied the whois information? Is the site "clean", or has there been recent bad activity. Were links recently purchased? The site may end up being banned. There are many things to think about. . . |
