First of all, get rid of the 468*60 ads. it's useless. use square banners, 728*90 or 160*600 only.
And the keyword, after changing the ads' sizes, is TRAFFIC. Without traffic everything is useless.

you know why...its because your ads placement ..change all of them...first put on the top large one.......remove that one on the right side..and put 2 ads one between the post tiltel and the and the post ...2ed one in the end of the post and its better to be 336*280.

and because your are using blogger so it will be to easy to do that ....and your ctr will be more then 2% always and your earning will encrease

Yes, ad sizes and location need to be optimized.
It's simple, adsense recommend only the big sizes, 728x90, 160x600, 300x250 and 336x280, not any other size.
Why would you chose another size? Really because of design issues? don't make me laugh, we're not artists.

Also something else, talking about technology means you'll attract visitors who are too technical for me.. They will either have adblock addon installed or they will be well aware of adsense ads and click very little on them..

I agree above the good replies, but here is apposite situation my 460x68 ads are working good. And I check it the other all sizes of Adsense ads but i am not satisfied, because not clicks on it. So I decided to fit 460x68 ads on my blog.

Yes illiterate if you want to call them that, but it would be more fair to precise computer-illiterate, or non-technical (as in computer technics)
But yes, if your site's topic can be of interest to the general population, like children, most women, many men and old people, then it is way easier to have higher CTRs.. AND it will be easier to attract mass traffic, since nowadays non-technical people are more numerous than us on the web :-)
That's why I think the main mistake of newbies is to believe what others tell them "build a site about something you're passionate about" then they go to create a blog/site about "making money online " or "seo tricks" or "mobile phone news", "how to blog with blogger", etc..
Instead it should be something you're passionate about (for newbies so they don't give up quickly) which doesn't involve computers, or at a very very basic level.

If technical topic then it should be geared at total newbies, but if you can avoid technical it's even better/easier!

Of course there are exemples of technical sites which contradict me, like DP forum or the site of a DP member GrownUpGeek.com, but aren't they the exception rather than the rule? And is it appropriate exemples for newbies, I don't think so!
