Default The Great Debate: Religion & Catholics Part 1
I believe in God, but I do not believe in organized religion. Here I will discuss with you, and others this hugely discussed topic. Both worldwide and socially on quite the occasion. Today we will be talking about Catholics.

I simply hate & love: Catholics & the religon. We'll state my statements there first. Pros/Cons of being a Catholic.

Before you say anything, I have ALOT of Catholic friends. Plenty of which do & do not go to church respectively. Rather they know exactly what is preached or only go due to parents going/family going I do not know.

The fact that if you get married, then are REQUIRED to stay with them till "Death till us part" has never been, not even in a Catholic Bible(to my knowledge): Been a REQUIREMENT for a testament of faith for God. Judging people based on this, nor disallowing them back into your very own church...that is SUPPOSED to openly welcome sinners & believers alike: Discards them completely.

You are not allowed to come back again. You can easily go to another Catholic Church due to them most likely not noting you down to keep you gone. But why would you go back to that bullshit.

Second thing: The priest has to be virgin, untainted etc. If I am recalling it correctly(please correct me if I am wrong, as I am not Catholic so I only know by the rules I have been told.): Meaning you're unable to be married etc in that same aspect.

There are people called V-something too, unsure what this is but the name is pretty cool. Is not a person supposed to be forgiven for what they've done? Intentional or non-intended? Going back on the same respect for divorcing...if you two do not get along: Why the **** woul dyou stay with that person. Most divorced couples get along 10x better AFTER they are divorced than they ever were married.

Pros: Great treatment for the beleivers. Everything from ALOT of help from the Church if something is wrong in the family due to financial hardships, food lack thereof, and heck, the Priests themselves get their own free housing.

Huge Church, widely supported by people & government alike I believe.

Incents, their ****ing incents are AMAZING. I sen this priest in my town during a session I once came to have this rope with an incence burner on the end of it they waved around.

Now when I talk about this, I am being very DEEP on the concept of what I mean: I was FAR FAR back, maybe 30 rows back, and I could smell the aroma of that within minutes of him waving it around. I believe it was the best aroma from an incent I've ever smelled in my lifetime. I want to buy some of that shit, no matter how expensive it is.

Gatherings & get together: Great time, great food everything. Nothing more needs to be said here, as its pretty damn cool.

Their Food and Wine thing. They have this a lot. I love those little crunchy and sometimes soft bread squares of flatbread. I could eat that all day long if I could find the container they hide them all in.

Although this annoys me, its very cool to see that the Priests come to houses and pray with people. THAT is DEDICATION right there. Regardless of the Cons of my own personal opinion...the faith these people ...or most have is astounding. Not to mention I couldn't even imagine the patience they have to go to people(like someone I know that has been slowly loosing their memory to the point they do not even know what their daughter's name is anymore that is taking care of her...so sad...)and preaching to them and helping bathe them, and take care of them every week for a few hours out of their day and life to help someone like that.

I have quite a bit of respect for the religion, but I do not agree on their views of pointing down someone who has 'sinned' and their strict guidelines of who can help with the church: inside and out of it. Or so I get that impression from it.

Comments/Opinions/beliefs?

Honestly, these are sensitive topics on YugiohForums.. I am not christian and however I find the idea appealing that people unite under something, my common sense just does not work with it.
