That was Jerri Ryan aka seven of nine from Star trek Voyager. I think she can more than hold her own. What was wrong with the cast. You don't need a big name cast for MK movie. I think Micheal Jai White is a perfect fit as jaks. I think IF this is an actual movie. All you need is a good script and capable actors. I mean come on it's MK not The Departed.

Interesting stuff, but I've got to say I'm a bit disappointed that they've gone as far as they have to justify it in the real world. I mean, no mention of Outworld and the, you know, apocalyptic implications of the Mortal Kombat tournament? I'll accept it for the new movie franchise, but I really hope Ed Boon isn't thinking of taking the games down this path.

I'm kinda double sided on this. It looks interesting and most likely would be something I'll watch, but I don't really care for the direction it took...this isn't the Mortal Kombat story at all. Like Baraka, a Doctor turned psycho path and changes himself into this hideous thing? Baraka was a demon of outworld, not a human. Or Reptile being some psycho killer that eats human heads for breakfast? Come on now.
I'm with Halen on this. I'll give the movie a chance, but this better not be the future for the games. |

First, it looked fucking awesome. But it could work just as well with that kind of style and the actual story of Mortal Kombat. |

I would love to see this made into a full movie. The original MK story already had it's chance and churned out an ok movie (great by video game movie standards though I suppose) and a horrendous piece of shit. If it has anything to do with the games, then I don't care either way. There is nothing any fighting game can ever do again to capture my interest.

This site claims that they have 100% confirmed that this video has nothing to do with the game and is in fact a promo reel for the new movie. |

Wow that looked pretty freakin awesome. It almost had a Dark Knight-esque feel to it. The first Mortal Kombat movie was uber cheesy, but a very entertaining movie, wish i could say the same for the second one...But i have to say, if this is infact a real movie, i'll definitely be checking this out.

This was a director's pitch to Warner bros. and had nothing to do with a game at all |
