Default Would you eat Zombie Sushi?
Its staring right at the girl! All it needs to do is reach for her and yell "Brains!"

What.....the....hell? Since I am addicted to trying new things, there is a finite chance that I could be persuaded to take a bite, but......... [shocked]

All I can think is thank God I will never be asked to: the second guessing would be epic.

So, would I eat sashimi?

Yes I would, but I'm not a huge fan.

Ah.

Never having tried any myself, I was unaware it was common to have the still twitching fish right in front of you, or that the fish was usually cut up alive just seconds before eating. Certainly I have never heard of that before.

I went to a restaurant in HK that did the same. The mouth of the fish was still moving.

It was quite disturbing but I still ate it.

EDIT**

A lot of the comments on that video are ridiculous. They're commenting on how it's disgusting and all that. Yet half of them, if not most of them probably have never experienced another culture other than their own.

Like one of the youtubers commented "Try getting a Japanese to eat Lancashire black pudding". They would probably react the same way as a Westerner would view the dish in the video.

Definitely. If you're going to eat sashimi, why not have it be as fresh as possible?

I love Sushi, but for the sake of the animal, i prefer it killed before itīs cut to pieces.

btw, Here in Germany youīde never find a restaurant that does that, because itīs illegal ( goīs against animal rights, even stuff like fishing with live bait is illegal)

I've always wanted to try sushi, but not just any like something store bought. If I could find a restaurant that served it round here would love to give it a go.

Well, I have never had a fish I really enjoyed, other than fried fish which is more of a batter delivery vehicle. So no, I don't think I would eat it.

You can't fish with live bait? Weird!

I like sushi and sashimi, but I could do without the quivering fish head in front of me.

I'd eat the fish head first, starting by sucking the brains out.

Mmmmm......

You would probably like Aurthur Treachers then, since their supposed "fish" is 99% batter with a tiny fish nugget hidden inside.

I'd give that a go if I had the chance as well, would be something different.

Having said that I probably wouldn't be allowed to eat it as I'm not sure I'd be able to resist picking a piece of the fish up and waving it about in front of the head going "nuh nuh nuh, nuh nuh nuuuuuuh"

I love sushi and i've seen a vid like that before, but that's just f*ckin sick think about if a giant fish cut you in pieces and you were being eaten while you're still twitching in the plate, and all the fish around the table are like " lol did you see his head twitch 1111!!!11! roflcopter he's twitching like Murphy in Robocop !"

Also couldn't the cook have chopped the head of that fish FIRST ?

I'm no extreme tree hugger but to me that's too much.

I would guess shes not doing any worse than a bear who grabs a fish alive out of the water........

On the other hand, the bear has no other options, (like cooking utensils) and we certainly do.......

I wonder, if this restaurant is going to go that route, why they don't just set the still flopping live fish down in front of you and let you kill it yourself with your teeth, chewing happily while the fish try's to get away.

Can't get any fresher than that!!

As I said, I might be persuaded to try it..... but I would probably much rather not! [rofl]
