and i was home sick from school when challenger 'sploded.
Coincidentally, I was also sick at home when the challenger blew up, and it was the first time I was watching a live liftoff on TV.

It's amazing how some moments standout in your mind as if they had just happened yesturday, but may have happened a decade or two ago.

I was sitting in school watching the launch in class, we even sung the national anthem at some point and then boom.
One of those moments i´ll never forget,..

I remember watching ET at the cinema in 1982 and the 1986 Fifa World cup. So guess I am in the same club.

What recently made me feel really old was I had a younger friend of the family come in , about 18 I think, and play games with me while the old grey hairs gossiped and crap. I had my NES setup on the floor, the old grey box, and he looked at it and said..... "What's that?"

I about smacked him [thumbdown]

I dont really think age matters for that, more like what he do daily..

Anyway, I would jump up too if I would meet someone younger telling me what's that for a SNES..

In favour of those that say it didn´t happen,
all you did see was a lame, noisy image on Tv.
Following that logic, Godzilla actually runs around in Asia somewhere and there are mystical creatures called the smurfs that live in the forest.

but then again what am i talking about, i believe the moon landing was real.

Yup, but with the Cold War tensions at the time and the Russians looking for anything to put one over on the Americans, together with all the hobbiests following the voyage, it was beyond any question that it did happen.
Pretty much everyone I have watched, read or heard that has an opinion that it was faked was clearly uneducated, stupid, deliberately ignoring the facts and/or mentally unsound.
Also applies to many of the people here.

Still regard it as one of my life highlights!

Oh, and I don't believe I've ever seen a NES/SNES and so wouldn't recognise one, either!

He was a gamer though, one of those annoying turds you find on Halo all the time, but I think his earliest console was a PS2 or something.....
