British defense policy has always been to fight to the very last Canadian.

QFT. Let's throw Australia in there for good measure as well.

Another celebrity connection from the Dieppe raid- one of the officers commanding it, and in the thick of the shooting, was David Niven. Who played James Bond in the original "Casino Royale".

I've read the Canadians were pretty gung ho about getting in on the action, to the point of insisting they be used.

The Canadian Army did not get to France before the white sale and Canadians did not fight in North Africa.

Today I learned that Canadians(!?) are considered the best snipers in the world.

ACK!
Is it that surprising?

Lots of hunting, long distances between anything useful...

At least we don't have a habit of showing up late.

Even more than that, we know how to pull off a finale

Maybe that's the time between dropping an old school nuclear bomb and the bomb's detonation?

I'm just getting a kick out of your pride/glee in the face of your moral high-horse act in the Temple shooting thread.

... and I'm sure you noted most Hiroshima Jews were away from ground zero that day, too. Coincidence? I think not!

Bittersweet dude, as i remember the British army was saved by a narrow stretch of water in Dunkirk.
That's rather like saying "HAH! YOU WERE ONLY SAVED BY THE TWO METRES OF IMPREGNABLE CASTLE WALLS!". Still, it's easy to be relaxed about these things when you didn't lose.
