It doesn't. The guy at the top is a dud.

I was joking with people that Romney should pick Ryan. I thought he had enough sense not to.

So far Paul Ryan is 0/6
What? How do you get that from the poll results?

Secondly, Paul Ryan is a Catholic.

Yeah, sadly he's on the wrong end of the ticket.

Wondering how Romney plans to make Ryan the next president. Will he put Ryan at the top of the ticket or will Romney kill himself after winning the November election?

My dad's met Ryan and was thoroughly impressed. At the time, he asked if Ryan was going to join the primary races, and he said "No, I love my wife and kids too much."

Let me clarify as that came out much harsher than I intended. You, your dad and brother are most likely great people that I'm sure I could have a good time sitting down with. Being born privledged is not a bad thing (indeed it is what most people strive for), doesn't make you bad person, and certianly completely outside of your control. It's not your fault that your perents are rich. However, it does distance you from how a vast majority of the population functions. How can you (or in this particlar case, Paul Ryan) lead a people that you cannot possibly understand?

FDR seems to have pulled it off. Born in privilege and led the country during the great depression.

I understand what you're saying, and here's my objection. Mitt Romney knows how to make money. That's why he's rich. He may have been born into a rich family but he clearly is pretty damn good at making money on his own. I don't see why that would fail to correspond to knowing how to make OTHER people rich as well. That's the idea, right? We're not trying to keep poor people poor--ideally, everyone would be rich. I realize that a rags-to-riches story would be a little more powerful for this, but just because he didn't grow up in the world they live in doesn't mean he can't figure out how to turn it around and make it better.
Rich people don't get rich by intending to make other people rich.

Donegal - how does Obama represent this particular background? He was born with a silver spoon in his mouth - never worked a day in his life, went to Harvard, went to Columbia. His 'work' was as a community organizer, and he certainly wasn't hurting.
It's amazing how you lot are so quick to sneer at someone who instead of using his education to just get as rich as possible decided to invest his time and energy into improving the community and helping society. I know 'community organizer' has become an insult for you retards, but it should be a badge of ****ing honour, especially for conservatives who were traditionally huge supporters of communities working together to improve their lives.

His mother was filthy rich. I'm curious to why it's relevant for Ryan/Romney and not relevant for Obama.
Provide some evidence to support that please, or else it will be added to your already huge list of blatent lies.

It really isn't. Understanding how the economy works does not require growing up in the ghetto.
People who have always been rich have no idea of the challenges that face people who grow up in deprived areas or circumstances. Things that seem 'obvious' to the rich like saving money, can be utterly ridiculous to someone who actually has to deal with the realities of getting by on next to nothing. Ryans extremist '**** the poor' plan is a perfect example of a right wing college kid sitting talking about how a world he's never really experienced should be run.
